Let's go back to 2021, the beginning of the year where I was two months into the startup. I never thought I would have got the opportunity to work in tech. I spent the first part balancing: studying, working and internship. Then about six months later. I gained full-time employment, where I was required to learn new frameworks and languages. During this time, I was disorganised and unsure of which skills to improve. So this year, set goals and achievements. Usually, I do not set any goals at the beginning of the year. I just set them as and when they occur in my mind. I also have not put any of my plans out in public for fear of disappointing myself. This approach has not been working for me. So, I decided to put my goals for the year together as a blog post to keep myself accountable, hoping to make better progress.
Every month as a front-end engineer, I reflect on what I have achieved. Let's talk about April 2021. In summary, I took a significant risk and left my second job. It's something I felt I had to do. My mindset was off and I wanted to focus on writing and improving with front end development. I regathered my thoughts and made a plan of action to further my skills and finally, I have committed to a content creation schedule.
